Tyson Hale, AuD, is an audiologist specializing in surgical neurophysiology. He performs electrophysiologic tests to monitor the functional integrity of the central and peripheral nervous system during various surgeries, including somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), motor evoked potentials (MEP), electromyography (EMG) and electroencephalography (EEG).
Dr. Hale earned his degree from Bloomsburg University.
“I love knowing that we are helping surgeons do their best work, while providing an additional level of care to protect a patient's neural function during major spine or brain surgery,” he says. “We are the patient's main advocate while they are under general anesthesia.”
He was inspired to become a provider after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma as a child and getting treatment at Geisinger. “My early exposure to the healthcare field and knowing I wanted to help people led me on this journey,” he says.
Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Hale relocated to the Bloomsburg area as a child. He resides in Bloomsburg with his wife and their 3 daughters.
