Dr. Strickland is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon. She specializes in the care of the foot and ankle with an emphasis on diabetic care, fracture management and wound care. Dr. Strickland earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. She completed her podiatric surgical residency in Scranton at Geisinger Community Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Strickland enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is a self-confessed reality TV and Forensic Files junkie, and a lover of all animals — especially her dog, Maddie.

She had one foot out the door the entire time. She rushed my appointment and I felt like she didn't care about listening to my needs and it was a waste of my time. She was nice at the first appointment, but lost confidence in her after the second appointment.

Though the doctor seemed nice she spent more of the time talking and not listening. She didn't explain what the surgery would look like, success/failure rates, after surgery what that looks like for heeling, what I can and cannot do for how long of a time, how long is the surgery, etc.

I have several things wrong with my foot/ankle. The only thing she suggested was an ankle brace, which I cannot wear due to a plantars on bottom of my foot. She said I need surgery on ankle but need to get my bmi down to 35. When I mentioned the wart and hammer toe, she responded one thing at a time. Her only treatment is not an option, so I'm very discouraged in my appointment and will not return to her.

This provider is very young, and told me there is nothing I can do to prevent further development of my toes that are starting to hammer. She explained why it is happening, but dismissed the problem as part of aging. I believe more experienced podiatrists might have had experience with solutions others have tried and could share what has been helpful and what not. While I understand that hammer toes are a part of aging, I cannot believe there is no intervention I could try to prevent this from developing more than it is already.
