Kristin Badman is a certified nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology. She cares for patients age 12 and up, including treatment for congestive heart failure, arrhythmias and acute coronary syndrome. Ms. Badman also offers post-pacemaker care and treatment after vascular surgery and heart catheterization, noting that she loves all things heart-related. “I like that I can learn something new every day,” she says.
Ms. Badman earned her nurse practitioner certification from Bloomsburg University.
Her healthcare journey began at Geisinger, where she started as a phlebotomist. A desire to do more for her patients led her first to an RN degree. A few years later, Ms. Badman earned her nurse practitioner certification.
“I've always been fascinated by the heart and what is needed when there’s a physiological problem,” she says. ”I was a med/surg telemetry (cardiac) nurse at Geisinger for almost eight years before I transferred to a nurse practitioner position.”
When she’s not at work, this native of Selinsgrove appreciates a good nap, but also loves playing with her nieces and nephews, shopping and working on crafts and DIY projects.

My first impression of Ms. Badman was not great. Had to ask her name and at first seemed not to be informed with my concerns as outlined in My [...]. But as appt progressed she did take a sincere interest in my issues and how to best address them. And I must say her after visit summary was excellent. She clearly listened to me and presented the most comprehensive report detailing exactly what I am experiencing. Very reassuring!
