About Kathleen Ann Shull

Kathleen Shull, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in endocrinology. She treats adults for a variety of conditions, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, diabetes, hyperparathyroidism and hypoparathyroidism. She has a special clinical interest in diabetes technology, like insulin pumps and continuous glucose meters.
“I love meeting people where they are and helping them make small, meaningful steps to improve their health,” she says.
Ms. Shull attended Saint Francis College in Loretto, Pa., where she earned her degree. She’s also a clinical dietitian. 
Ms. Shull notes that a close family member’s experience with diabetes led her to a career in the medical field. “I saw the power of food choices, exercise and medication,” she says. “This exposure lit a fire to learn more about science, nutrition and medicine. My goal is to give you the tools to take charge of your health.”
She’s an accomplished researcher and has published journal articles and a book chapter. She’s also presented her work at various conferences.
Ms. Shull is a native Pennsylvanian. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, SCUBA diving and water skiing. She serves as a Cub Scout assistant den leader and school treasurer.
She and her husband have two grown children. They enjoy spending time with their English setter, two cats and a flock of chickens.

    I've been seeing pharmacist in family medicine. This appointment explored several changes to my treatments. A very simple change to increase my lantus dose has leveled out my numbers.
