Katherine Anne Dent, PA-C

Katherine Dent, PA-C, specializes in treating hospitalized patients with a variety of conditions, including common chronic conditions like heart failure, COPD and diabetes. She also treats acute illnesses such as urinary tract infections, pneumonia, viral infections and diverticulitis.
Determined to make a positive difference in the lives of her patients, Ms. Dent takes pride in providing accurate, quality care in the critical access hospital setting. She finds fulfillment in “straightforward care” that helps people feel better and get back to their lives and loved ones.
“I like being a hands-on, ‘boots on the ground’ person who’s providing care to a patient and making a difference in their lives,” says Ms. Dent. “I appreciate hospital medicine, as we are seeing patients at their sickest and then helping them get better.”
Ms. Dent embraces Geisinger’s multidisciplinary approach to care, which allows her to continuously learn from her medical colleagues and evolve her clinical practice.
She grew up on a dairy farm in Berwick and has a special interest in healthcare for rural populations. Ms. Dent holds a physician assistant degree from Lock Haven University.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, walking her two Bernese mountain dogs and keeping up with the latest films and TV shows.
