John Ramey, MD, is a board-certified urologist who provides care for men and women. He specializes in treating urologic conditions that include urinary tract infections, frequent urination, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, kidney stones, overactive bladder, bladder cancer and kidney cancer. He also performs a variety of routine and advanced surgical procedures including the Rezum® procedure for treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
He has a clinical interest in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Board certified in urology; Dr. Ramey earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed his residency in urology at the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

Dr Ramey took his time to explain my diagnosis, thoroughly explained my options and explained the procedure.

Doctor showed no empathy to my concern about future possible reoccurtence of strictures which would hamper my ability to use cathethers but rather dismissed it by saying mt cathetherizing 4 times daily should prevent this from happening even though I have had this happen before but said he would handle it at that time if necessary. I think something preventative should be discussed to avoid this but doctor put me on a 1 year appointment schedule zand promptly handed me off also to a nurse practitioner also.

Dr. Ramey is a great doctor with great bedside manner and a personality and attitude to help and answer questions. He makes you comfortable and at ease with his ways of doctoring .
