Unfortunately, the appointment was over as soon as it started, but I had some questions about what physical activities I'd still be allowed to do. I would've liked the doctor to sit with me for a few minutes and discuss how I could best heal. I had to do all the research on my own at home, and I obviously can't be sure I'm doing the right thing.

He didn't talk much. He replaced my knee years ago and after asking me if he was the one doing the surgery I felt he stopped listening. Of course that was my feelings and may not have been his.

There were 4 people in the room, and everyone was professional and caring. Everything was explained in detail to me.

Provider was in a rush and spent virtually no time explaining non-operative options or providing an explanation of the long term implications of the procedure. To be honest, I was not put off by his dismissive approach in our first meeting; I am more concerned by competences than by demeanor. This second appointment was profoundly disappointing.

Courteous very concerned and extremely professional

Dr Finelli did not seem to take my concerns seriously at all. He was in the room less than 1 minute. The PA was good. Listened to me. But Dr Finelli seemed to not want to be bothered.

Extra effort was made to ensure that I'll have a good outcome.

Bad experience, the doctor was rude

Very unprofessional way of talking to me. Never examined me or went over my MRI results. Told me, "that's all I got" and left the room.

The doctor spoke with me all of 30 seconds. He didn't explain the condition and basically said that I could see sports medicine because it didn't involve the knee joint, that being said, the physicians assistant […] and the physical therapist were phenomenal. They explained everything about my condition, why it happened and answered all my questions so the fair and poor rating were for only the physician.

Dr sent me for additional testing so he can determine a treatment plan

My experience with Ortho was great, very well taken care of and everything was explained very well. X-rays we're done very fast and Dr Fanelli and staff were great.

So, I already know that I have arthritis, and my main goal was to get a steroid shot. Dr. Fanelli introduced himself but did not really ask any questions. After the x-ray and their review of the MRI (dvd) and written report, he came in and said that I had three options: shot, arthroscopic, and knee replacement. He did not seem interested in sticking around to answer questions, and I said that I wanted a shot. My questions revolved around how many months or years I could put off knee replacement. The nurse answered my questions helpfully.

I had a 30 second appointment. He said you have a bruised bone I can't wisk you off to surgery. 6 months heal time. I went to ask a question he was out the door. He never logged into a computer walked in & out.

Was given a shot, didn't feel anything.

I felt very rushed. The physician came in with a PT and another woman, maybe a nurse practitioner who took notes. He asked why I was here seeking a 2nd opinion. I explained the start of pain and what I had done to date. He seemed uninterested in the detail that I provided and then had me lay on the table and relax my knee. Asked if it hurt where he pushed, I said yest. He then said it was [...], had me sit up and said "you need to see Sports Medicine for a procedure. Not even sure if he told me the procedure and then left. Lucky if he saw me even 5 minutes. I asked the PT if it was an invasive procedure and he said it was done via ultrasound. I also asked if I should wear a knee brace, continue PT or anything I shouldn't do. He recommended at least 8 weeks pt.

Everyone was very professional and pleasant and concerned with me as a patient, not a number. Thanks to all of them.

PA helped me to get the testing done that I need so my surgery could be as soon as possible. She was patient with me when I needed time to make decisions about my treatment. Doctor was helpful in explaining my options and understanding my personal issues.
