Chirag B Chaudhary, MD

Dr. Chaudhary is an orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in the treatment of adult and pediatric spinal disorders, addressing conditions in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He provides care for people with degenerative diseases, spinal deformities, trauma and tumors, and performs complex revision surgeries. Dr. Chaudhary performs a range of other procedures as well, including minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal fusions, deformity corrections and robotic-assisted techniques — always with a focus on restoring function and improving quality of life.
Originally from Gujarat, India, Dr. Chaudhary earned his medical degree at Government Medical College – Bhavnagar, after which he went on to complete his orthopaedic residency. Upon moving to the U.S., he completed fellowships in pediatric and adult spine surgery at Nemours Children’s Health and the University of Connecticut. 
He chose to join Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, drawn by its commitment to innovation and patient-centered care.
“What I love most about my job is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on my patients’ lives. Seeing someone walk again without pain, return to work, or enjoy time with family — that’s incredibly fulfilling.” Dr. Chaudhary says. He finds daily inspiration in the complexity of spine surgery and the resilience of his patients.
Dr. Chaudhary and his wife, a pharmacist, have 2 children, and he values the balance between his professional and family life. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, cooking with his family, hiking, and exploring new cuisines. “My family is my greatest source of joy and motivation,” he says.
