Brittany Zapsky is a certified physician assistant specializing in hospital medicine. She treats critically ill patients who come to the emergency room for a broad range of conditions, including heart attacks, congestive heart failure, stroke, skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory failure, arrhythmia, urinary tract infections, diseases of the colon, kidney stones, pneumonia and sepsis.
She admits patients to the hospital and cares for them throughout their stay. She also works with patients to build appropriate care plans after discharge.
Ms. Zapsky earned her physician assistant certification from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, and says, “I’m proud that I’m living my dream each and every day.”
She adds that her patients inspire her. “I want to continue to make a positive impact in their lives while treating their medical conditions,” she says.
Born and raised in Clearfield, Ms. Zapsky is an avid Penn State Fan. She lives in Houtzdale with her son and her dog, a shi-poo named Dolly. In her free time, she enjoys hiking (particularly on the Appalachian Trail) and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
