About Barry Lee Green

Barry Green, DO, is an osteopathic doctor specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. As a laborist, he provides care for women during labor and delivery. He also provides postpartum and general gynecological care.
Dr. Green earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He followed that with residencies at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Texas and Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington state.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army and continues his service in the Army reserves. “In the military you learn teamwork, and that is a scale that applies to clinical practice as well,” he says.
A native of Scranton, Dr. Green spent time in practice in Germany and North Carolina before returning to the area. He notes that he was born at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton and has “come full circle” now that he’s practicing there.
In his spare time, he enjoys reading and spending time with his wife and children.
