Ashley went above and beyond!

I cannot begin to say how great Ashley was! She spent a lot of time with me, reviewing my case, reviewing the results of the heart monitor I wore [...] and what the next course of action may be. She showed concern that my PAC burden (12.5%) may lead to arrhythmias and a change of meds and dosage may be warranted. She even went as far to say an ablation might be necessary. She listened to me as I showed her my documentation of CPAP usage, events per hour, and blood pressure & heart rate logs. The only negative was that prior to my appointment, Ashley didn't review the results of my previous heart monitor [...] and compare it to the heart monitor results she was reviewing with me. She said my PAC burden at 12.5% may warrant a change In medication and dosage. She left to check with [...] but he was in surgery. It was during that time she reviewed my previous heart monitor results. When she came back in, she told me she was very happy because my previous PAC Burden was 39.4% and now, no change in meds or dosage was needed. I don't mean this in a negative way; Ashley was persistent. She took the time to ask [...]. When he wasn't available, she took the next course of action and reviewed my previous results. Then, made a decision based on her experience and knowledge. It was awesome hearing I didn't need any adjustments! Ashley also said my CPAP usage was one factor leading to my PAC burden decrease. My events per hour decreased from 28.4 (sleep study on [...]) to 2.5 at the end of 2025 (per my CPAP usage report from [...]).

I had a follow up appointment with Ashley for evaluation of ongoing palpitations. From the start, she was patient, and genuinely listened to my concerns. She explained my test results clearly and walked me through treatment options, including risks and benefits, which helped me feel hopeful in being my best self. The visit did not feel rushed, and I felt respected and heard. The office staff was efficient and friendly. I highly recommend Geisinger cardiology staff to anyone needing specialized heart care.
