Amrit Devkota, MD

As a hospitalist, Amrit Devkota, MD, specializes in every aspect of care for hospitalized patients. This includes admitting and conducting initial assessments, coordinating treatment plans and overseeing discharges.
In addition to his clinical expertise in hospital medicine, Dr. Devkota also has an interest in obesity medicine.
Compassion drives everything he does. “Positively impacting people’s lives and alleviating struggles has always been a key motivator to becoming a compassionate healthcare provider,” Dr. Devkota says.
He adds that “building relationships with patients and their families” is one of the best parts about his job. He also enjoys dealing with diverse cases, providing holistic care and problem-solving.
Dr. Devkota grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal, where he was surrounded by vibrant culture and the majestic backdrop of the Himalayas. He now appreciates the scenic beauty of his home in central Pennsylvania, where he spends time running, hiking and being with his family.
