Valeriy M Vilensky, MD

Valeriy Vilensky, MD, is a hospitalist who treats a variety of conditions, from chronic diseases such as hypertension, COPD and diabetes, to acute illnesses such as infections, hip fractures, heart attacks and coronary syndromes. He focuses on providing optimal care for hospitalized adults, and has clinical proficiency in managing the treatment of patients over the age of 65.
Hospital medicine is a good fit for Dr. Vilensky. “I like being in an environment where I am constantly learning and updating my knowledge,” he says. “When I am faced with a problem that I do not know how to solve, I have knowledgeable colleagues that I can discuss it with.”
In fact, he says his search for answers led him into medicine. Dr. Vilensky earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis and completed his residency at New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Vilensky moved to rural Pennsylvania from Brooklyn, and plays chess as “a very serious hobby.”
