Manabendra Datta, MD

Manabendra Datta, MD, is a board-certified hospitalist specializing in internal medicine. He has a clinical interest in hospital medicine. Dr. Datta cares for adult patients admitted to the hospital, coordinating their care with specialists as needed.
Dr. Datta earned his medical degree from Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in Bangladesh. After medical school, he completed a residency at Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester in New Rochelle, N.Y.
As a hospitalist, he says he appreciates autonomy in his work: “I choose the time and plan to care for patients, earning a living in a satisfying way.” Dr. Datta adds that he’s proud of his ability to cope with adverse situations.
Originally from Bangladesh, he came to the U.S. to complete his medical training — and now enjoys “better opportunity, recognition and living.”
In his spare time, Dr. Datta enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as traveling, gardening and fishing.
