Lionel Varela, MD

Lionel Varela, MD, is a family medicine physician, also called a primary care doctor. Dr. Varela provides preventive care and disease management, and he performs procedures including joint injections, trigger point injections, skin biopsies, skin excisions and laceration repair.
Dr. Varela earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara UAG – School of Medicine in Mexico and completed his family medicine residency at Geisinger Lewistown. He speaks English and Spanish.
