About Jake Sequeira

Jake Sequeira, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in pediatric critical care.

Dr. Sequeira treats patients through age 13 who have serious, potentially life-threatening conditions. The conditions diagnosed and treated can vary widely in pediatric critical care but can include patients who have physical trauma or multiple organ dysfunction.

Dr. Sequeira was inspired to become a medical professional at a young age. “My little sister was very sick when we were younger,” he says. “The physicians who treated her are the reason I became a doctor.”

During his time at Geisinger, Dr. Sequeira has organized a team to help patients with difficult intravenous access. He’s also an educator in the pediatric residency program.

Originally from Virginia, Dr. Sequeira enjoys skiing, brewing beer and playing guitar in his spare time.
