Denise Marie Torres, MD

Dr. Torres is the chair of the Geisinger Surgery Institute and is a board-certified and fellowship-trained general surgeon subspecializing in trauma. Her clinical interests include trauma surgery, acute care surgery and surgical critical care. Her research interests include trauma systems and performance improvement. Dr. Torres earned her medical degree at Drexel University. She completed her residency in general surgery at Temple University Hospital, and her fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Torres is certified by the American Board of Surgery in surgical critical care.
