  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 40 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Surprised and very happy with a Saturday appointment at the last minute.
Sep 29
After 2 visits w/*Dr. Patel I could feel her concern & thoroughness. Have been recommending her to family & friends. I feel I've finally found the kind of primary care I've been searching for. She truly listened to what I had to say!
Sep 22
This is why I keep coming back here, I live in Bellefonte, & work on the other side of town. Not always convenient for me.

With the nature of injury sustained, I was quite pleased to be seen by the doctor and have information that was quite useful and understandable.

*Dr. Patel did a wonderful job of listening to what I had to say and arranging the tests I needed.

Dr. Manisha Patel is excellent and I've recommended her several times and also the Geisinger system.
Jul 10
I got the impression Dr. Patel was afraid to touch me. My wife, who was present at the exam, even said afterward "She certainly did not do any poking or prodding!" I wonder if internal med doctors are more prone to diagnose via dialogue & tests? Dr Mainali, also, always has a list of additional tests she wants me to take but doesn't seem to realize my body is right in front of her.

I love Manisha Patel and wish there were more like her.

My PCP was unavailable. I saw Dr. Patel as a last resort for a recurring condition (bronchitis). I advised her of successful treatments that my PCP and I had discovered over the last several years and recommended she read previous reports. She prescribed different meds, including one that could not be taken through my PEG tube. The antibiotic was ineffective and I ended up in the ER the next day, then admitted for 3 days to Mt Nittany with pneumonia. I will never use Dr. Patel again.

Dr Patel was very quick with me and seemed disgusted by the fact that I had the rash all over my upper body, even though I had explained that it had spread from my neck to the whole body overnight. She did not examine my skin (poison ivy), didn't check my glands or throat even though I told her I felt congested and had a sore throat and cough, and wanted to prescribe me a high dose steroid at first, even though she was aware that I was 15 weeks pregnant. I explained that I did not feel comfortable taking a steroid of that strength in pregnancy. She then switched to a lower dose steroid which she said would not harm the baby in any way, but when I got to the pharmacy, the pharmacist refused to give me the medication because it is Pregnancy Class C and could pose a threat to my baby's health. I was not told ANY of that by Dr. Patel. I was very upset with the treatment I received by this doctor.
May 14
Annual physical with no concerns; Dr. Patel commended me on my health and shared that I would likely be her easiest appointment all day as I was doing well and had no concerns.

Prescribed medication that was quite ineffective in treating my illness. It is two weeks today from my visit w/Dr. Patel and I am not impressed at all. I will not return.

Every thing went well.

I can't help but feel that Dr. Patel is rushed. Dr. Patel is a good doctor and does the best that she can with with precious minutes that she has with a patient (me).

The Dr. is very caring and friendly.

This is a general comment: the practice here in this country to 'treat according to numbers', like, "this number is too high", and "this one os too low", doesn't instill much confidence in me. Every person is different, but the treatments are organized by average. In addition, the current revision of cholesterol level recommendations seem to indicate that over several decades people were prescribed medicine they may not have needed. I would love to see more attention to the actual cause of a disease rather than 'curing' the symptoms.
Feb 3
Dr. Patel is always professional and informative.
Feb 2
As a new patient, I am still getting to know the doctor & nrse assistant.
Jan 22

It was hard to connect with the doctor and I feel as if she judged me based on my intimate life and not my medical condition In front of her. She was very rough during the pap smear and did not apologize when I expressed discomfort. She was nice in explaining her opinions but did not explain the cause, only possible treatment.
