Dr. Jacobs (Darren) explained everything to myself & my husband very well & took in all of our concerns wot what we felt & what was going on with me!

Dr Jacob's showed me his true side declining me my wishes to have the hardware taken out.He didn't treat me as a person that has been going through a lot of pain but as a patient that he could bully into another surgery. He also called men of my age wussies and that if would have came to danville that night after my surgery because I was in so much pain that he would have not admitted me of gave me the medicine the hospital forgot to give me. I'm very disappointed in the geisinger system at the moment they can't seem to fix anything. The one thing they are good at is making things worse.

This was a 3rd appt made for a lumbar puncture..two other ones with Neurlogy were cancelled and was given with Dr Jacobs. while there he asked who said I needed one..as I did not need one ..this was going on for over a month with the appointments made until finally Dr Jacobs determined it was not needed but got a run around before this.

Dr. Jacobs has always been my go-to neurosurgeon for my patients and myself. He has taken excellent care of me throughout this process, from pre-surgery to my most recent follow-up visit. I own him a great debt of gratitude for helping me get better.

I feel like my dr. was rushed due to time/falling behind. Only focused on one of my many problems. Felt like my other symptoms are not significant to medical staff, but they are significant to me.

Dr. Jacobs was very kind and caring. He explained things so I could understand . He was highly recommended by a friend and I would recommend him to others.

I came to this Dr. for a second opinion my first Dr. was also a Geisinger Dr. ,I was not there to say my first Dr. did anything wrong I just was not getting results and simply wanted another opinion. All Dr. Jacobs did was tell me what a great Dr. I had and what great physician assistants I had and truthfully it was like he dismissed my issues. He also proceeded to blame my primary care dr. and said it was his responsibility for my follow-up instead of the surgeons. ,

He kept wondering why I was there to see him since I previously saw Dr. Slotkin. I explained that the scheduling office made the appointment as they considered me a new patient since I last saw Dr. Slotkin in 2012. He seemed very annoyed that I was seeing him and wanted to know if there was problem. I said no and he said it's not my fault but with the scheduling department. I felt like I was bothering him.

The surgeon talked down to me and seemed very displeased when I couldn't give him a yes or no answer to a question he asked. When I answered I don't remember he said loudly "it's either yes or no not I don't remember. He had me so upset I was crying. If I didn't need the operation I would not go back but he is the only one who does it.

As a very concerned patient not wanting surgery and wanting to outweigh every option before choosing surgery Dr. Jacobs was very helpful and concerned about me. Making sure I was completely comfortable with surgery if it needed to be done.
