Follow-up about anaerobic or aerobic exercise regimen would be the province of a different specialist, but was evidently not deemed necessary.

dr was great in taking her time explaining things to me and showing me my scan so I better understand my situation. I most certainly would revisit and recommend her to others.

I travel close to 3 hours to see Kathleen Shaefer. She is fantastic!

The doctor was really nice and went over everything in detail. She asked tons of questions and took notes on every one of my answers, unlike other doctors I've had in the past.

this was my first visit....so some of the answers to these questions could change after more visits.

Doctor wasted no time in letting me know that she would not be accepting me as a patient. She claimed that her position was based on the fact that there was no one to "manage my DBS" here. her manner was brusque and dismissive, and certainly was not the way I would expect a physician to deal with a Parkinson's patient, especially one who was initially diagnosed and treated by her predecessor, Kevin Parry. An altogether unsatisfactory experience.

The length of the appointment was less than either of us had anticipated. An examination from a referral had been delayed more than anticipated and results will not be complete until three other appointments are completed and they are not scheduled until the middle of April. The care provider had assumed those results would be available prior to this appointment. Without them, this appointment was useless. My next appointment with the care provider won't be until early in June to be more sure that those results will be available. There should be better coordination and communication between the care provider and the referral so care provider and client time is not wasted as happened with this appointment.

This doctor is outstanding. When my prior doctor left because of health reasons. Dr Shaffer became my new Doctor,She is a knowledgeable and compassionate person. The medical profession should use her as a model. for all Docs to follow. She is that good.I hope she continues in the medical field.
