There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

The doctor was very attentive and courteous.

Dr Taylor is new for me and I have had limited experience with him.
Jan 27
Dr taylor gets better every year. Truly an excellent physician .
Jan 24
Just a physical, no medications or treatments
Jan 17
I was EXTREMELY happy with the outcome of this visit. Dr. Taylor listened to my problem and knew exactly what it was. And his treatment is working.

I am very happy to have met Dr. Taylor. He was friendly and knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and took my various concerns into account. Most importantly, he was very considerate of my toddler, who was uneasy in the dr's office. The nurse had warned him of this ahead of time (good for her!), and he moved and spoke so as not to startle or frighten my daughter. When he examined me, he positioned us so that my daughter couldn't see the stethoscope. I prefer to come to appointments alone, but when I have to bring her, it's very nice to feel confident that the doctor will take a small child's moods and developmental stages in stride. I see why you call this department "Family Practice"!

I was seeing a doctor I never saw before, however, my history and medications were in the computer and he does have access to my records. I had this appointment because it's required one week after you are released from the hospital. Dr. Taylor didn't seem concerned about my illness. He prescribed a medication that I didn't need and I told him. He gave me for nauseous and I wasn't having these symptoms. When I got the medication I found out that I couldn't take the medicine because it would interfere with other medication I am already taking. I didn't feel Dr. Taylor helped me at all. A week later I contacted Dr. Newhouser and she helped me figure out how to have a bowel movement. I had that stomach virus two different times. Dr Taylor did not know why I had an appointment with him.

Actually, "very good" isn't sufficient -- Dr Taylor is a great doctor!

Dec 27, 2016
Dr. Taylor is personable. He remember me and my health concerns.
Dec 23, 2016
Was surprised at the cost for Tamiflu which I wish the doctor would has given me a heads up. I would have paid for the drug anyway since I felt so bad but a heads up of the cost would have been appreciated.
Dec 22, 2016
Dr Taylor was just WONDERFUL !! EVEN MY HUSBAND WAS VERY IMPTRESSED !! He explained my condition that we could totally understand ! although he isn't my regular PCP I thought he really knew my history and reviewed my entire chart. Would not hesitate to see him again !! He is very CARING !! Loved him !!

I am 62 and in good health. I had not had a physical for several years and decided to be pro-active. I was very disappointed with the physical. When I was in my 30s & 40s, GMC conducted "key personnel" physicals of me. At the time I questioned the doctors for the need of some of the tests for someone my age. Now at 62, many of the exams and tests that should be conducted were completely neglected. Based on my family's medical history and my age the following areas should at least have been discussed: cardio-pulmonary, prostate, and glaucoma. Medical personnel always tout preventative measures. Yet, when I attempt to be pro-active I obtain the equivalent of a high school sports physical! When an automobile reaches a certain mile mark, there are recommended preventative maintenance, surely we can do as much for a human! The physical I received was not worth my time and effort.
Dec 17, 2016
I wasn't certain whether the physician is germophobic ( I asaked and he replied he has a child with asthma) OR he didn't like speaking/touching African American patients. No handshake at the beginning of the visit and a fist bump at the end. I do plan to give him a second chance.
Dec 13, 2016
Dr Taylor always addresses any concerns I may have, and works closely with me on solutions to those issues.
Nov 30, 2016
My provider quickly diagnosed me with a possible rotator cuff problem which my previous Geisinger provider did not. When instructions were sent to the ortho doc, my provider misidentified the should to be examined (left instead of right). I had to call back Geisinger to get this corrected and called the ortho to make sure the correction was sent through, which it was not.
Nov 28, 2016
Dr Taylor was very friendly and showed a great deal of concern about my health issue. he was willing to spend as much time with me as needed. very refreshing
Nov 22, 2016
Dr. Taylor is a great doctor
Nov 17, 2016
Wish that he would have spent more time and offered more detailed explanations. It seemed like he was in a rush which made me feel like I was in a rush. Had to mention a problem, bowel movement leakage, more than one office visit before I felt like the issue was addressed adequately.
Nov 14, 2016
I have recommended Dr. Taylor to several people who now see him.
Nov 7, 2016

Oct 25, 2016

First time with Dr. Taylor - very pleasant
Oct 17, 2016
#5 and #6-N/A #10 - recommended Dr. Taylor to a colleague at work a few days ago whose primary care physician is retiring in town.
Oct 17, 2016
First visit with Dr. Taylor. I was a little apprehensive but he put me at ease and had me laughing within the first few minutes.
Oct 10, 2016
Dr. Taylor is very good and very personal to your needs
Oct 7, 2016
Dr. Taylor is always very patient and takes time to ask if I have questions and gives me an opportunity to ask them. At almost every visit he has information about new research or treatment options that can be considered - he appears to stay well informed of new developments.
Oct 7, 2016
Dr. Taylor is excellent. He is always concerned, and caring. I really appreciate being his patient.

Dr Taylor has been a life savor confidont outstanding health provider to me. I think the federal govt got to involved with the oxy Abuse over site though. I suffer from very bad constant back pain and sever panic and anxiety disorders from injury related to 26 years of active military service. After the federal government got involved Dr Taylor informed me I'd have to go cold turkey off oxy and hydrocodone which I have been on for over 8 years. given my medical condition with sever panic I think if Dr Tayloy had a say in this he wouldn't have put me through the hell of cold turkey while still battling panic and anxiety. I don't believe this to be Dr Taylor's fault but pressure from above. thank you Dr Taylor for helping me and keeping me functional for the past 8 to 10 years. I will figure a way to control pain and get some exersize to remain healthy. After 26 years in the military I know excersize is the main key to life. Thank you Dr Taylor

Although I think Dr. Taylor is a nice person, when I showed him a bruise that emerged while being on Coumadin and treating myself for pneumonia at home, I was told there was nothing to worry about. I was fearful that since I had taken a few doses of Advil that week, that my blood was becoming "too thin." After he diagnosed me with pneumonia and prescribed me antibiotics (2 types) for treatment, no emphasis was put on checking my INR. After starting the antibiotics over the weekend, I developed severe abdomenal pain. I tried calling his office several times on Oct. 3 and 4, seeking advice/an appointment, with little help. I ended up going to the ER on Tuesday and was diagnosed with a large, abdomenal hematoma, which developed due to my blood being way "too thin," in combination with a cough I had related to the pneumonia (ruptured blood vessels). I have been out of work for almost 3 weeks due to the pneumonia, and now these major complications from it. I feel the complications could have been totally avoided, had the priority been checking my INR while on these new meds. Additionally, nearly all of the money we had accrued in our HSA will now have to go toward our high-deductible of $3,000. This is also something that I think could have very easily been avoided. As a patient and consumer, I am feeling a bit betrayed and frustrated, not to mention in pain and fatigued.

I can only hope you have read every single individual rating in this survey and don't skim. the office at the clinic was terrific. but your phone system's constant flaws were enough to send a very patient professional through the roof. I couldn't imagine an elderly person successfully navigating this without confusion. it was sad.
Sep 14, 2016
The care provider, sure I would recommend--but this facility? Not a chance at the moment.
Sep 10, 2016
he was nice as a person but didn't have much concern for me being there.
Aug 24, 2016

Aug 18, 2016
Dr. Taylor was great in all regards.
Aug 15, 2016
Dr Taylor always shows he's interested in me. He asks about family, work and if there's problems I want to share. He explains anything I have questions about.
Aug 12, 2016
The provider is not thorough and not proactive. I am not satisfied with this MD.
Aug 11, 2016
Dr. Taylor provided an excellent overview of the events and results of my recent hospitalization - what happened, why it happened, and what might happen in the future (since I take blood thinners). I now have a very clear idea of what happened and what to do in the future if it happens again. I have been very pleased with all of the care that Dr. Taylor has provided me with over the years as his patient.

Jul 8, 2016
dr. Taylor is my PCP and to be honest in the past I have not been impressed. However, he was very interested in determining what medical issues I had and very intent on Friday me the information my wife and I needed in including us in the treatment plan.
June 27, 2016
Important not to 'dumb down' comments from physician to patient.
June 25, 2016
The caregiver really didn't know me, and I'm not sure he looked at my online chart of meds. He suggested I try Sudafed, even though I am on a blood pressure medication. He didn't seem to listen when I told h Z-paks don't work for me, and then he checked my chart. I did start the Augmentin immediately and started feeling better within 24 hours.
May 29, 2016
Dr Taylor is very knowledgeable about my condition and shows insight into my situation. I think he is great.
May 20, 2016
not sure a fist bump is what I am looking for in an annual physical.
May 19, 2016
I left the office feeling that all concerns had been fully discussed and with a sense of well-being. I would recommend Dr Taylor and his staff to any of my family or friends if they were in need of medical care.
May 17, 2016
I have recommended Dr Taylor to both my sons and friends. He is personable friendly and genuinely cares for our wellbeing
May 13, 2016
Dr Taylor literally spent less than two min with me. He seemed to know what my issue was immediately but I would've liked to have had him examine the area a little closer just to be certain. And I find I often have to probe and ask questions to get more detail out of him, something I wish he would provide willingly without being prodded. Quite often after I have left I remember one or two other questions I wish I had asked. I shouldn't leave the office feeling uncertain, which I did. Fortunately he did recommend a specialist so at least I know my questions will be answered there.
May 11, 2016
I was having an acute medical problemA specialist's office suggested I go to ER. This physician of this survey saw me right away. He is my primary care physician
May 10, 2016
Dr. Taylor is fantastic!
May 4, 2016
Dr. Taylor is always nice, professional, and makes me feel confident that he is competent and up-to-date. I am glad I was assigned to him years ago when I started coming to Geisinger.
Apr 27, 2016
I still have issues with a swollen finger that movement is restricted and the doctor basically said I stubbed it and didn't examine it further or at all for that matter. A month and a half later I still have swelling, pain and limited range of motion. Needed to be referred to my orthopedic doctor for my hip which is giving me issues and didn't get that. I got a 6 month follow up
Apr 27, 2016
Extremely would recommend Dr. Taylor. He is a caring doctor. Thank you...

Feb 25, 2016
Dr. Taylor is a gem. He always is thorough, friendly and professional. Without exception he listens to all of my concerns and addresses them. He consistently looks for ways to provide the best treatment. You better raise his pay - if he goes to another health care provider I'm going with him!
Feb 24, 2016
Dr Taylor is by far the best doctor we have had and would like to clone him so that we can have more appointments available for us to only see him. He explains and gives us choices we are comfortable with. Our whole family goes to him and loves it.
