There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Dr. Taylor is always nice, professional, and makes me feel confident that he is competent and up-to-date. I am glad I was assigned to him years ago when I started coming to Geisinger.

Good soul.
Feb 25
Dr. Taylor is a gem. He always is thorough, friendly and professional. Without exception he listens to all of my concerns and addresses them. He consistently looks for ways to provide the best treatment. You better raise his pay - if he goes to another health care provider I'm going with him!
Feb 24
Dr Taylor is by far the best doctor we have had and would like to clone him so that we can have more appointments available for us to only see him. He explains and gives us choices we are comfortable with. Our whole family goes to him and loves it.
Feb 23
Excellent care: very kind and knowledgeable, understanding, professional, with a high level of expertise. Dr. Taylor is also a good listener.
Feb 20
Both the nurse and doctor were outstanding.
Feb 20
He rushed me out the door. I didn't feel comfortable with this provided. Didn't really care about my history and what usually happens to me when I start feeling the way I was.
Feb 15
I just switched to this PCP and am very glad I did. I am much happier with him as my care provider.

Talk Taylor is a very good doctor. He actually listens and provides good feedback. I've seen several doctors, but I rank him the highest at of all that I've seen.

Dr Taylor has been family doc for over 10 years now. When my Mom was moved here from SC for assisted living, her lovingly cared for her like he would his own mother. When he advised my wife and me that I had lymphoma, he cried as any friend would. When he learned that I was in remission after chemo, he cried again, this time with me because we were both happy. My doc is real, he cares, and he's a friend!

Does everything an excellent doctor should do.
Nov 5, 2015
I had a list of five things to discuss/review, each was met with a passivity and/or the attitude "it is what it is." I've been disappointed with this PCP's attitude in the past but shrugged it off. Not any more.
Nov 3, 2015
I have been a patient of Dr. Taylor for many years and have often referred family and friends to him.

Dr. Taylor is amazing!
Oct 15, 2015
Great care! Dr. listened to and answered all more questions.
Oct 13, 2015
I had blood work done and wanted to talk to the doctor about the results. I sent him a message that I wanted a phone conversation. He said he preferred messaging. This is unacceptable to me. I have yet to talk to the doctor after several weeks because I need a phone conversation. I am a new patient. My previous doctor always took the time to talk to me in person about my blood work. this office visit cost me over $600 out of my pocket and I am dissatisfied.

Sep 14, 2015
Medicine seems to help. Rx
Sep 14, 2015
This was a maintenance apt so we discussed usual/normal situations concerning meds I've been on for years & continuing struggles as a result of an 18 yr old stroke.
Sep 4, 2015
He takes the time to listen to me and also fill out appropriate referrals without complaint. He is one of the most patient physicians that I have had ever dealt with. I'm happy to give him a good report.
Aug 31, 2015
I will be changing doctor's. I hope that Geisinger has something better to offer. I feel that I am given no care in my current situation. That is not how I should feel when visiting the doctor.
Aug 24, 2015
Aug 23, 2015
Would consider him for my physician.
Aug 12, 2015
Best doctor ever. I trust him, trust his word and wisdom.
Aug 12, 2015
No bad experience
Aug 11, 2015
Not convinced that we have fully explored what is causing my symptoms. Feel that the severity is not being fully considered.
Aug 4, 2015
Dr. Taylor is a careful listener who gives thoughtful analysis to health issues and outlines options re. treatment. He is always relaxed and unhurried in his interaction with me. I have confidence in Dr. Taylor.
Aug 3, 2015
The doctor is routinely childish and patronizing. I expect a degree of professionalism and decorum. I am paying for a service provided by an expert, not entertainment. I don't want my doctor to act like my buddy or treat me like a child. I see more professionalism in nearly all professional interactions I have on a daily basis. I've had difficulty finding a primary care doctor that is respectful, professional and courteous. In addition to fist bumps and other silly behavior, I've also been insulted while discussing details of my life including hobbies and profession. I've had interactions with specialists there that were just fine. Doctors are supposed to be very observant, intelligent, and professional - you seem to hire childish jerks. My experience at my Penn State university health services was much better. The doctors were down to business, direct, professional, and (most importantly) able to read their patients and interact with them respectfully. Isn't beside manner important? I am (thankfully) a fairly healthy person - your doctors delivered my daughter and will deliver my son. My wife is always well-treated and specialists are routinely good. All this boils down to is a lack of trust. I work with people who are experts and leaders in their field - professionalism is expected.
Jul 27, 2015
Always helpful, discusses options and we decide together. It really does not get any better.
Jul 20, 2015
excellent care
Jul 7, 2015
My only concern was I had to constantly ask questions regarding my condition instead of it being laid out for me. Perhaps he assumed I knew what my options were but I didn't and had to ask several times what my course of action should be and why.
Jul 2, 2015
*Dr. Taylor is the best Dr. I've EVER had!
June 9, 2015
My primary care physician and cardiologist are the only reasons I put up with the additional financial burden of Geisinger versus the preferred provider of PSU.
June 2, 2015
Dr. Taylor is very likable and easy to talk too. He takes his time and is very thorough in his examination.
June 1, 2015
Dr. Taylor is an exceptional doctor. Other than his being late to this appointment, I have no complaints about him.
