  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 40 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Dr Mainali went above and beyond in evaluating and treating.
Oct 5
Dr Mainali took the time to answer all my questions and concerns.

If there were a higher rating, then I would certainly use that higher rating for Dr. Mainali. What a treasure! She puts her patients at their ease, and she has a sixth sense about her patients. When I had a minor concern, she addressed that immediately knowing that it would allow me to focus on more serious concerns.

Dr. Mainali is a wonderful physician, she genuinely cares about her patients, is very thorough, knowledgeable, kind, I feel honored to be a patient of hers, and am confident I am receiving the highest quality of care.

Thorough and excellent treatment for a puzzling complaint.

Not enough experience in the topics to evaluate

I could not possibly say enough good about Dr. Mainali. She is an outstanding physician. She listens carefully, explains everything in an understandable manner, and ensures that each patient is treated as an individual whose concerns are her concerns. She is remarkable.

Dr.Mainali is a very caring physician. She helped me get my life back on track. I feel very fortunate to have her as my doctor!

It is like you are on a speeding track. Doctor rushes in and rushes out. I know they have a time frame to stay in but I felt so rushed. The visit was fine I did not leave with questions. I just felt rushed. Being rushed makes you feel like a number now someone the doctor knows.
May 22
Dr. Mainali is so pleasant. I feel like she listens to me and is concerned about me being healthy. I leave her office feeling positive and encouraged.
May 14
Great Doctor!

I wish that I had asked more questions about meds prescribed - (an inhaler & steroids) I wasn't clear when/why to use the inhaler.

dr Mainali is excellent.

Possibly the worst experience I've had at Geisinger Scenery Park. Even though they were really slow that day (saw me nearly an hour early!) the doctor rushed through the appt., ignored or didn't even listen to my comments/input/feedback, and seemed to want to rush me out the door as quickly as possible. She seemed to have diagnosed my problem and decided on the treatment within the first 5 seconds. On a typical busy day this would be a good thing in terms of facility efficiency, but she had an unusual opportunity for some good doctor-patient engagement and bedside manner and missed. The antibiotics prescribed were effective, but I was wholly unsatisfied with her concern to address my other ancillary symptoms, discuss any preventive or lifestyle considerations that brought on or might exacerbate my constellation of symptoms, or show much compassion for my discomfort.

I have never had better health care since I started seeing Dr. Minaili. Her diagnostic skills are excellent and because of them, I have addressed three long-standing problems. Two are completely gone or in remission; the third has diminished to the point where it is completely manageable and no longer a problem. I have had the same success with new issues. She is a gem. So is Lindsay Bailey.

____ not my regular doctor; Dr. Mainali was very friendly, knowledgeable and concerned about my problem. She provided excellent care and had a plan of treatment that was very thorough.
March 20
Care giver was attentive to my issues.
March 19
All of my experiences with the doctor have been good.
March 16
Care seemed hurried; very little discussion of my health concerns; no real time for questions. I felt that there was little appreciation of my concerns or fears.

I had a sinus infection, in a lot of pain, explained history of 2 sinus surgeries, etc. She indicated she had read my records from my ENT but I am highly doubtful that she did. She assumed I had the flu because she asked me if I had aches and pains. I said yes, but I attributed it to inactivity. She didn't listen to that. If she checked my records I have history of pain due to previous car accident. She wanted to test me for the flu, claiming my sinus infection could not be bacterial if it was from the flu (which is not true). I asked her to read my records and call my ENT because I needed prednisone and antibiotic, that she could test me for the flu but that didn't mean I didn't need an antibiotic. She said I was being inappropriate and refused to call my ENT and refused to treat me, saying she would refer me to another doctor. I said I was sick and could not work and did not get paid if I didn't work and if I had to wait for another doctor's appointment it would delay my getting back to work. She didn't care. Read the research. Although many people may not have a bacterial infection from sinus infection, there are exceptions to the rule. People with chronic sinusitis, etc. may need antibiotics. I called my ENT and he was surprised she refused to call him. He said perhaps the average person would not need an antibiotic but I am not the average person. Although she can choose whom she treats, she has an obligation to respect her patient and to engage in consults. She violated the requirements of a member of the AMA. Shame on her! Check Dr. Mainali's reviews online. I am not the first person she has treated in this manner. In addition, none of this would have happened if the "system" had scheduled an appointment with an ENT for me back in October when apparently it was entered in the system unknown to me. Not to mention I should not need a referral from a doctor to call a specialist because I have a PPO but the doctor's office said they will not schedule without a doctor referral - you are accepting but not honoring PPO plans from the insurance company. In addition, I thought I was seeing Dr. Sulman; no one told me I was seeing another doctor when the appointment was scheduled.

Dr. Mainali is very focused on the computer and test results and medications. I am now seeing your pharmacists - Bernie and Diane to help me better manage my diabetes. I am extremely pleased with this Geisinger service. Dr. Mainali never asked about my diet, exercise, or daily logs, only the A1C and more medication.

Dr. Mainali is outstanding. Do not lose her.

We covered my main concerns.

I have been doctoring here with Drs. Mainali & Wolfe for over 4 years with stage 4 cancer - - - - EVERYBODY knows me.

There are times I feel like the doctor and she is the patient. I recently injured my knee in an ice fall, I am in constant pain , I cant sleep, my leg feels like a tooth that needs pulled, she prescribed ice and Advil, good idea, I had to push for an x-ray, which showed some fluid, I want an MRI, but she balked at it, I know my knee is not normal, it has been three weeks with no recovery. She said take Advil heavy for a week and ice, and make another appointment? I actively exploring another doctor, I have a call in to another provider to see if they will do the MRI, I ask why cant she see provide this direction? If I find out I have definitive injuries in my knee, you will here about it , why make someone who is injured wait two weeks, it will soon be three weeks , I feel she doesn't care ? I thought it was called healthcare for a reason . This is extremely disappointing. I wont be with her much longer. I have gotten more positive direction from my personal trainer than the doctor?
Jan 26
This care provider misdiagnosed my condition; I sought a second opinion from dermatology and was able to clear up my acne with cortisone shot rather than taking the antiviral prescription.
Jan 22
Non-optimal antibiotic was prescribed for a chest infection.
Jan 14
She is an excellent physician and I am growing more comfortable with her on each visit. She talks a bit fast but does not seem impatient.
Jan 12
Very pleased with Dr. Mainali's professional attitude and concerns.
Jan 6
Lately I have felt that my concerns are not adequately addressed. I recently had a drug interaction that has caused tendon issues that I believe should never have happened. I also think that the GI issues I had been experiencing should have been referred to a GI specialist much earlier in the process than what actually occurred. This is unfortunate, because I have typically had a high level of trust in the care I receive at Geisinger.

Excellent physician.

Dr. Mainali is an outstanding physician. I cannot be more pleased with the care that I receive nor can I possibly say enough good things about Dr. Mainali. She really is that good.
Dec 16, 2014
I have every confidence in Dr. Mainali. She is very pleasant and seems to keep up with the latest information on drugs and diseases. I respect her opinions and trust her suggestions and diagnosises.
Dec 15, 2014
I am receiving the best medical care I have ever received from Dr. Minaili and from the referrals she has made. I have received help that is lasting on three chronic problems I'd had for years. She is an excellent diagnostician. I appreciate her care very much and Geisinger that the system would employ such an excellent person (persons, including Lindsay Bailey, her nurse).

Had to follow up (via email) on a lingering system - Dr. phoned in new Rx in a hew hours - excellent!
