There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 40 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

#9. Reason for answering #9 (good) is because it was our first meet with Dr. Challman we have to get to know him so far so good! She did great with my son for his 1st time.

Dr Challman didn't want me to go to UPMC for my son's third molar extraction. He had his receptionist Tracie call me several times trying to convince me not to go there. I had the best experience at UPMC dental department and would recommend them over Geisinger's dental department. Geisinger has a difficult time keeping a pedodontist on staff for a length of time. At UPMC, there staff was bettere experienced to service my special child's needs. Dr Challman was so wrong for disciuraging me from going to UPMC

I can not begin to explain the high esteem I hold for Dr. Challman. He is an amazing physician who truly cares for the children he treats. Dr. Challman is so friendly, yet professional. He truly wants to help the child in every possible way he can. He spent time talking about "Boy Scouts" and his troop's adventures with my son...who is obsessed with Boy Scouts. Dr. Challman told Evan that he was once to Evan's Camp ....Goose Pond because of patient of his received his Eagle Scout. How many physicians would travel one and a half hours (one way)to watch a patient receive his honor?

My only concern was that Dr. Challman made me feel as though I was doing something wrong with my parenting to have my son set back with his speech development.

I was impressed by this doctor and staff. They have been the first to explain what's wrong with my daughter.
