There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.

Dr. Pugliese, DO was remarkable. He took a great deal of time to listen to me and was clear and concist in his discussion about what he felt was my diagnosis. I could not have had a more attentive physician.

He was very nice.. I knew he would just be in with me a short time, as the nurse told me that. I felt they were pushing this iv med, and didn't think I had anything to worry about by taking it, because the ratio of patients that had side effect were low, they though. But I didn't think they were considering the fact that I get too many side effects from meds.. and esp for the meds I've taken to prevent osteroporosis. Fasimax made me feel like I was having a heart attack... Actonel gave me acid reflux and a spray for up my nose gave me exemma and took 9 months to heal after I stopped using it. Why would I take something similar that could cause me to have this jaw problem or get the flu... I felt they were pushing this med anyway, even though I told them about how I get side effects often.

I recommend Dr. Pugliese all of the time!
Aug 31
Feel doctor wants you to make own decisions about care-not too much input provider.
Aug 31
I feel he is a very knowledgeable MD. Perhaps his schedule is too heavy or perhaps he things it is tedious to answer too many questions.2. Broadstrokes being a retired nurse I like as much information as possible & I resent prodding to get it.
Aug 31

Dr. Pugliese is an excellent doctor friendly, caring, helpful. Always explains thoroughly.
June 22
It just seems lately that the physician seems distracted and very quiet at the appointments. I agree that patients should have say in their care, but I don't like to make the decisions of my care.
June 20
it was a very good experience
June 17

Dr. Puglieso is a great doctor.

I had to bring a hard copy of my lab work from January 28, 2016 as this office never seems to have the results scanned in for the MD to review. MD did respond to my e-mail about a few of the elevated lab values.
May 26
have ongoing problem with getting return phone call. I leave a message and I never get a phone call returned by nurse or doctor. I only get a response when doctor is on call.
May 26
Doc respected my desire to avoid drugs just yet. He also consoles one. As caregiver for my husband. I pourd someof my worry and concern. Doc. listened and let me spill.
May 23
I feel that his typing on the computer was distracting from the attention he should be paying to me. How can he concentrate on 2 things at once? We shouldn't text & drive. Why is this any different? Why can't the Dr. have a person with him to do his notes? I know that some Drs do this.
May 20
Dr. Pugliese knew I was in pain and arranged to get me in & gave me shots that were very beneficial.
May 18
Felt that should've been referred to a different specialist for back pain
May 2
Now my husband is also a patient.
Apr 28
Dr. Stella is the best doctor I've had in 51 years. Shows genuine concern on a personal level.
Apr 26
I was having an issue with pain in my hips that I was trying to deal with on my own. when pain was intolerable I called for an appointment to receive steroid injections as I had in the past. the office was very kind and I was scheduled an appointment in less than a week. I was told when I called to schedule that Dr. Pugilese only had time to do the injections. In spite of perhaps being "squeezed in", Dr. Pugilese took the time to sit down and talk me and listen. At no time did I feel rushed. He is very kind and caring and I appreciate his wonderful bedside manner as well as excellent clinical knowledge. My one wish would be that he personally received all of the $1828 my insurance was charged.
Apr 25
He is an amazing doctor.. I referred my mom to see him.
Apr 18
best Dr ever, responsive to my needs
March 24
Dr. Pugliese is awesome!!! I have been his patient for the last several years. I have recommended him to many relatives and friends. He seems genuinely concerned about my well-being and the degree to which my condition affects my personal life. I have been a Geisinger patient since 1985, having initially began trewatment in Danville with Dr. Perruquet, who left the area a few years ago. Since then, I have become a patient of several specialists within the system.

I trust Dr. Pugliese 100%! He is a great doctor and he takes the time to explain things in regards to my health. He shows great concern with new things that pop up with my health and explains different things that I may want to try. I have recommended Dr. Pugliese to other people, now to family members as well as my mom.

Dr took his time in the exam and talking to me about the problems I am having and explained everything he has planned for my healthcare . I didn't feel rushed and felt as if my care was the only thing on his mind at that time . I am very happy with my care with Giesinger and Dr. Pugliese 😊

I am very confident about Dr. Pugliese's expertise and care. I will definitely recommend him to family or friends in need of a rheumatologist.
Jan 25
Though I had stopped seeing Dr. Pugliese two yrs. ago, my primary dr. Sandbya Desai, felt that I should continue to care with him, and Dr. Pugliese had no problem with me returning to his care, and welcomed me back to his practice.
Jan 22
Felt that he wasn't sure as to next step in treating my issues.

Dr. Pugliese is an excellent doctor. He is very easy to talk to, very attentive and respectful. He and his staff informed my husband at a visit last year about an irregular heartbeat. That finding was critical to my husband being treated early for a heart issue. Our respect for him is great.

Nov 12, 2015
Wish that dr. would've addressed the pain - I am in and prescribed something to go along with the agreed treatment.
Nov 9, 2015
Problem never solved. Meds never work!
Nov 3, 2015
The doctor taught me the facts about my pain. He did a full body exam, which was a surprise as I was told by the appointment secretary that the doctor would do the top half or the bottom half of me. I was delighted that he did a full body scan and even took a biopsy of something that might have been a problem. Thankfully, the results were that it was not cancer.
