There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

have already given recommendation to others

Dr. Gerard Cush and PA Stephanie Wolfe both saw me. They were both extremely helpful and showed compassion. They both used language that was easy to understand and showed x-rays that helped this visual learner see what was being explained.

Dr. Cush very professional, while also being very personable.

I would highly recommend Dr. Cush😃!

Dr. Cush is very good at relating to patients.
Nov 18, 2015
I am a visual learner. When my procedure was explained to me, the physician or the PA could have shown me on my own x-rays what was happening. A comparison of before and after x-rays during my appointment would have helped clearly understand what was done. I have yet to see one of my actual x-rays and I've been being treated for this condition for over a year.

Both Dr. Cush and his nurse have been awesome throughout my experience with them.
Nov 11, 2015
Dr. seemed rushed.
Nov 10, 2015
Was seen by Dr. Cash before him & his assistants were very knowledgeable & caring on treating my issue promptly... very friendly!
Nov 10, 2015
Dr. Cush seemed to make fair assessment of my problem with the heel. He seemed to answer most questions I or my husband had.
Oct 27, 2015
Stephanie, the PA, was extremely helpful in answering my questions and explaining my surgery.

Dr. Cush is an amazing ortho, both in his abilities as a physician and in personality. Before I saw him for the first time years ago, I was unable to walk more than a block without stopping. After two surgeries to correct the errors of a first surgery done elsewhere, I was able to return to playing competitive soccer. He always takes the time to explain your condition and answer all questions. He is never quick to operate unless he is certain that surgery is both necessary. He is the only physician I would trust operating on my ankle, and I routinely recommend him to anyone I know is having ankle/foot problems.
Oct 14, 2015
I have great respect for Dr. Cush as a surgeon and as an advisor for my care. He a real good person. I feel the same way about most of my Doctors and care givers at Geisinger since my quintuple by-pass during November 2011.
Oct 6, 2015
I had written many comments about my observations since surgery and Dr Cush listened with interest and responded with more information for my clarification when needed

Dr Cush and his PA were great!
Sep 23, 2015
Dr. Cush is great and I would recommend him. One correction to the above statement however, in that, my care was provided primarily by the resident.
Sep 23, 2015
I already have recommended Dr. Cush to a friend of mine that needs a consultation about her ankle.
Sep 9, 2015

Dr Cush is wonderful. always pleasant, friendly and caring. it's difficult to find a doctor in his field with these qualities!
Aug 19, 2015
superb!
Aug 19, 2015
I liked *Doctor Cush. He was concerned and considerate, he is obviously very competent.
Aug 12, 2015
Dr. Cush seemed thorough in his examination and recommendations. He suggested conservative line of treatment and did not push surgery right away. He also outlined the follow up time.
Jul 8, 2015
*Dr. Cush has a great humble bed side manner. I never felt rushed. He listened closely to my concerns. He is an asset to GMC.
Jul 8, 2015
Dr. Cush did accomplish our goal, which was to eliminate my plantar fasciitis with gastroc release. I just feel that I was not properly prepared for the recovery, and when in clinic, he is so busy, that I never feel I have time to have my questions answered. Great surgeon, needs to spend more time with his surgical patients.
Jul 1, 2015
I chose Dr. Cush on the recommendation of one of his former patients who had excellent results from a difficult surgery. I had confidence in him from the beginning.
Jul 1, 2015
He is a very good doctor but my time with him was rushed, he was in a hurry and I felt there was no time to ask questions.
Jul 1, 2015
Impressed that *Dr. Cush contacted me through MyGeisinger to see if I had any questions after my visit.
June 9, 2015
All good.
May 27, 2015
I all ready have recommend him to other people. #9. Excellent.
May 20, 2015
I wish I had asked about the purpose of the Xrays (esp. since he was able to diagnose the problem via a manual exam of my foot). The more I read (including info from Atul Gwande and other credible medical sources), the more hesitant I am about exposing myself to radiation. Perhaps all MDs should be expected to explain why an Xray is essential.
May 13, 2015
Great.
May 13, 2015
I felt very comfortable with Dr Cush, that he understood and was familiar with the injury that I had , which made me have confidence in my treatment plan.
