Dr. Jarvie was very helpful explaining immunizations and introducing food.

Dr. Jarvie is just great! He has a wonderful bed side manner. Not only with my kids but also witht the e mother of one of our foster kids. He is kind, informative but not condesending. He is a joy to work with!

Dr. Jarvie is also our son's pediatrician and we always feel very comfortable with him.

Dr. Jarvie is excellent in every way. He takes time to answer questions, he's positive, and he's very good with little kids!

I wish I would have been more informed about whether or not it was contagious. He mentioned she had a "croupy cough" and inflamed vocal cords. I didn't take that as she has croup and after online research I realized she probably went into daycare and spread it all around the next day.

I appreciate Dr. Jarvie's knowledge and care for his patients. However, he seems very dismissive of the idea that anything is ever a genuine concern. I appreciate his reassurance most of the time, since I understand that as a parent I can more easily become worried about something when it really isn't an issue, but I'm not convinced that he would give sincere attention to my concerns even if they were valid and needed further attention.

Dr Jarvie has always been really good with our boys. He is straight forward and tells it like it is. Me or my sons can ask him any question and he will always answer it straight forward

I had pre-warned Dr Jarvie about a growing concern over my 10 year olds weight but that he was very sensitive to it. He handled it really well by talking to him about changing a few things but NOT dieting. My child really took it to heart - his style an approach works

On something could talk or be little longer time explain thins.

Dr Jarvie is an asset to the Geisinger family. Always takes time to discuss any concerns, talks in a comforting way, gives advice without making parents feel inadequate or incapable.

I gave negative results for explanation of illness and confidence because the actual condition later found at the ER was so much more severe than "allergies". The picture of orbital cellulitis was actually the exact image of my daughters eye, which was obvious even to the ER Dr. - not pediatrics. I was also sent home with a $300+ rx for allergies not covered by my insurance. Dr Jarvie was friendly and informative just informed with inaccurate information that could have resulted in permanent damage. Disappointed to say the least{illegible or inappropriate content}.

Very sensitive situation for my daughter; he was excellent and was amazing.

Dr. Jarvie is generally a little nonchalant. I think it's a generally good approach with parents but sometimes it leaves me feeling like he's not being thorough.

excellent doctor.

Dr. Jarvie has an excellent personality and this is huge when dealing with children and the parents. The nurse was also excellent, she is one of the BEST nurses I have every met over the many years. Kudos to her too!

We will revisit Dr. Jarvie and recommend him to others. He LISTENED to my concerns (the Mom) and was not condescending or patronizing in any manner during our visit (which we have found to be the case with at least one other Dr in the practice in the past). It is important for Dr's and your practice to understand the patient is employing YOU and your services.

Dr Jarvie rocks!

Dr. Jarvie was so great with our son - he had had a lot done at the ED the day before and was hesitant about another visit. His experience put him & myself at ease - His explanations were thorough - and he even took the time to check my daughter out while we were there to make sure she was OK.

i felt as though the physician had a pre concieved diagnosis prior to seeing my child or listening to my report. i recently was there for a very similar concern for a sibling and had the exact opposite experience.

We love Dr. Jarvie!! He always spends as much time with us as we need to go through our questions and concerns. He never seems rushed. We also appreciate how well read he is and how he often offers to recent studies he's read about a particular question we have. We really trust his recommendations and care for our kids! And we've referred several of our friends to him!

Dr. Jarvis is wonderful.

Sometimes I feel that a parents concerns are dismissed too easily. I understand that there are a lot of reactive parents, and a lot of issues that may be blown up. But all you have to do is look at either of my kid's records to see that we are not at the doctor much, it is primarily well child visits, flu shots, etc. As the caregiver of my child I would like to be heard and not lumped into a category of "over reactive parent."

Dr. Jarvie is the best. I recommend him to all new parents looking for a pediatrician. We are very lucky to go to him!
Feb 14, 2015
Dr. didn't look down the child's throat after I described symptoms. Passed everything off in both children in apt as common cold. My youngest (who wasn't checked thorough enough in my opinion) has a sore throat and did not eat for 3 days after the apt. It was as if we were a burden that we were in the office.

Dr Jarvie is wonderful and we highly recommend him
