There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

I flet dismissed by the doctor, and still feel very strongly that additional tests should have been ordered and performed prior to my visit so that a treatment plan could be started

I have already referred others to him - FANTASTIC.

Reason for visit: pain Result: Physician attempting to send me home with no resolution, nothing for pain, no referrals or future appointments. I had to request a followup ultrasound. No concern for my pain or the fact that there are an alerting number of round cells in my semen analysis causing infertility - obvious signs of a problem.

I have already recommended Dr Danella to others

I was at the office over a year ago with same issue. During that visit they lost my urine sample. I did not have a lot of confidence in the office. My doctor recommended that I go back. I trust my family doctor so I followed his direction. I did research on my issue and wanted to dicuss my options with Dr denella. He seemed irritated with my questions and i felt he did not want to dicuss or didn't care. At one point he said well we could remove your prostate that would be an option... that should not be off the cuff comment.. the pa recommended a cat scan which Dr agreed to, said that I would have a follow up with the pa. I left feeling frustrated... PA was very nice and seemed to be truly Intrested in my health

Daniella was great.

I had a typical excellent experience with Dr. Dinella

My only concern (and not a criticism of my provider) is frequency of PSA testing. Twice a year is not enough, even for "indolent" cancer, once a patient has received a diagnosis of prostate cancer. I believe it should be checked four times yearly from that point on, but I'd settle for three.

Dr. Danella always discusses any lab findings and answers any questions clearly and concisely. He shows real concern for me. I have recommended him to others.

On each visit the staff has changed. Major turnover of staff. Less time by the chief urologist and less concern shown for the patient. Considering not going back and finding a new urologist.

Dr. John Danella is very doctor, an excellent doctor, he is very kind, very nice, very good doctor.

Dr. Danella is a conceited, arrogant Doctor. Was switching health care from Temple Dr's to Geisinger Dr's because of close proximity to home. He seemed to be more concerned with why we went to Temple and didn't come to him when the cancer and SX was required in 2012. Explained to him that if the other GMG Urologists had as high opinion of his skills as he seems to they should have referred us to him. His answer was they wouldn't because they were afraid they'd lose business. Also seemed more concerned in "taking over" all aspects of treatment on a go forward, didn't seem to care what happened at Temple or with those Doctors, said he'll make decisions from now on. Asked if we were so impressed with them at Temple why we weren't still going there. Told him the Dr's in Temple saved the patient's life and he informed us that we had an "emotional" way of looking at things, not a "medical" way. Will finish this round of follow-up, bloodwork, ct scans, etc. with Dr. Danella as it's already begun and then we will be going to back to Temple. Well worth the drive even in bad weather to visit Doctors that seem to care about us instead of their ego.

He seems rushed, although I think that is function of today's medicine.

He was excellent.

I explained much of the above selections in an earlier written statement

Slightly disappointed that Dr. Danella was not immediately aware of an UltraSound that was completed in September, prior to my first appointment, that was re-scheduled. I brought scan data from previous Delta Medix visits. But based on comments from Dr. Danella, he was not fully aware that a follow-up ultra-sound was completed in the last 3-4 months as prep for this consultation.
