  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

He did a quick (although it was thorough enough as I had a good understanding of significant ortho problems). He absolutely did not check if I had any questions. Left the room without providing me any instructions as to treatment/care or guidance regarding my presenting concern I provided with the nurse. He left the room abruptly and I waited for him to return and found out he was done. He would not listen to my questions I tried to ask and ignored them. Sadly I am not new to ortho due to previous multiple sports injuries. I have never received such bad care. All he did was give diagnoses but no care instructions, treatment planning, or how to avoid future problems. I have a meeting with another provider with whom I am much more confident will at least listen to me and discuss treatment options.

my care provider was not very nice didn't discuss any options and really didn't discuss anything about helping me out just telling me to stop playing sports. what a waste of my time and my money I will not be seeing this care provider again!

Dr. Fanelli performed my husband's knee replacement. I wanted to switch from Sun Ortho to the Fanelli team in case i need surgery in the future. I broke my tibial plateau in 2010. I needed an injection at this visit.

Outstanding

I told them about a concern of my right ankle I _____ it should have been checked _____ x-Rayed it to see if there was a problem... there.
Nov 29, 2016
Ordered x-rays when an MRI was supposed to be ordered - Got very defensive when I explained about whether the knee pain was from my knee or actually my back. Wouldn't let me explain.

This doctor had no compassion or understanding whatsoever. I was concerned and confused about what to do about a surgery and he was actually rude and made me feel like I was faking. then left the room saying something rude like he has other appointments to keep and left. Never coming back. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. I had knee replacement surgery there and had a very good experience with everyone from the front desk to the doctor and all staff. However this doctor turned me away from Geisinger Danville unfortunately. The whole thing was extremely upsetting

Most of the time was spent with a sports medicine 'PA' (unsure of his title). He was very polite and friendly, but had very little information he shared with me related to my test results or treatment. The physician spent less than 60 seconds with me and was essentially dismissive of my "chronic progressive condition". This was a new diagnosis for me and a bit upsetting. He did not discuss treatment options, but rather stated: "the NP would be in to give me an injection". Unacceptable treatment under any circumstances!!
Nov 15, 2016
I was very excited that a doctor understood what I was going through and is willing to search for a better solution than jumping into a total replacement
Nov 8, 2016
bedside manner is not a strength, but the pain in my knee is releaved so the trade-off is okay.

Dr. Fanelli is a great physician. Takes the time to explain test results (x-rays) & other procedures.

All the staff are great, kind, listen etc...

Love Dr. Fanelli
Oct 25, 2016
I did not see Dr. Fanelli during this appointment, which was for an injection only. I saw Jenna Lindenmuth who is always very pleasant and knowledgeable. Jenna has answered all my questions whether I'm at the clinic in person or via MyGeisinger. Dr. Fanelli and team are great.

The Dr. took the time to answer all my questions, plus he was very flexible with scheduling etc. Very accommodating.

Excellent!
Sep 29, 2016
Physician was very short, did not provide any suggestions to try regarding my condition, suggested that I don't get down on the floor (which is part of my job as a preschool speech therapist), and walked out of the room.
Sep 6, 2016
I would NOT recommend him to anyone.#8. 3 minutes.
Aug 16, 2016
This doctor is condescending and rude. He outright accused me of being a drug addict because I asked for pain meds to deal with my excruciating pain! I was only given 6 percocet in ER. They were used in the first 24 hrs as prescribed. I have no history of any addiction issues. He also promised a prescription for a walker and then never gave it. I had to have a clerk chase him down for my script.

I did NOT SEE the x-rays that were taken. Both knees were done. Would have liked to see the x-rays.

As a surgeon, he's one of the best but bedside manner was upsetting to me -
Aug 2, 2016
I want to see Dr. because of severe pain behind knees and trip - nurse took x-rays and said Dr. will be in after reviewing x-rays. He was in in 5 seconds - couldn't have had time to review.Dr. walked in the room - looked at me and said (not nicely) YOU HAVE ARTHRITIS! Which I knew - - - I said I know that but I have pain BEHIND my knees - he said rudely "I don't know - I'm a surgeon so if you want your knees replaced - - - as he was reaching for the door! Spent 3 minutes (at most) with me. Will be going to Sun Ortho - - -

Although I left feeling very frustrated, the Dr. is a excellent surgeon, and I trust his skills as such.

The fair comment is in regards to the phone call
May 31, 2016
Extremely pleased with all the staff especially Dr. Fanelli. He took the time to answer my questions and show me what we are looking at with regards to my medical situation. I feel very comfortable and confident that I am in excellent caring hands.
May 31, 2016
The PA was the primary provider and was very knowledgeable. The surgeon spent less than 5 minutes in the exam room with me.
May 24, 2016
Most of the information was given by the P.A. The Doctor spent very little time in the room .
May 17, 2016
Spent minutes with me..as I was talking to him another person opened door and began talking to him...the doctor ignored me as I was talking to him...i could not of felt more insignificant
May 12, 2016
Dr. Fanelli is a no-nonsense, confident in his decisions and ability, he knows what he's saying and doing and leaves no doubts a man of few words and I appreciate his confidence and abilities.

Dr.Fanelli is one of the BEST doctors I have ever met.
Apr 5, 2016
I would highly recommend Dr. Fanelli and his staff, Woodbine Clinic, Geisinger Medical Center and Geisinger PT for anyone having a knee replacement. I have had the best possible care. My wife is considering transferring her care to Fanelli/Woodbine Clinic from Sun Ortho.
March 31, 2016
Minimal contact most information came from reading x ray and MRI.
March 22, 2016
No problems everything was good.
