  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 40 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

The DR never looked at us, spoke or shook our hands. He immediately went to the computer. Then questioned why I was here...my psa was elevated. He then proceeded to state that with all my other problems, would I even want to treat Cancer if I was found to have it. He questioned me about my possible 5 / 10 year survival rate. Told me that he never performed a biopsy on a patient that was on Plavix and aspirin and had previous brain surgery. When my wife questioned if a free psa test could be done...he wanted to know how she knew about the test as none of his other patients ever asked about one. He went on to describe a possible biopsy in the office, which could result in excessive bleeding and the packing of my rectum. Again he stated he has NOT done this procedure on a patient with so many problems. This did not exactly install any amount of confidence in him. "Bedside" manner was non existent. I would never recommend this physician, nor would I ever return to him to let him experiment on me. I will be finding a new urologist.

I thought Dr's were obligated to treat patient's who have possible life threatening conditions, as he indicate that I have, regardless of how they can pay!

Dr. Mulligan was WONDERFUL! He was confident that my issues weren't "urology" related, yet he was SO kind and VERY concerned for me. The evening following my appoint, he called me with the names of 2 doctors he believed could help me after he spoke with another patient with similar issues. I was VERY impressed with Dr. Mulligan and his desire to help me! I am SO thankful to Dr. Mulligan, and I will HIGHLY recommend him whenever I have the chance!!

People and interactions are great. The "system" is an impediment. Phones, and systemic changes to schedules.

All good.

Very good exam. Doctor spent a lot of time trying to improve my symptoms.

Dr. Mulligan went above & beyond explaining not only my problem, but possible solutions. He did not pretend to have all the answers, & was ready with suggestions of other specialists in the system.

Dr. Mulligan appears to be the best Dr. I have been to with Dr. Gross coming in second a close second. I also like the physicians assistant at Nicholas Geisinger Clinic Fred K{illegible or inappropriate content}.

He accused me of doing my nightly urine output incorrectly and told me my numbers were unbelievable. He said he wasn't even going to look at my chart as it was "not even real". {More to that effect}. When I reminded him that I was a nurse and that I most certainly knew how to measure urine in THE CONTAINER HE PROVIDED FOR ME ON THE PREVIOUS VISIT, he then looked at my data. He then argued that a full glass of water was a HUGE amt to drink, I pointed out that 240ml. was NOT an outlandish amt., that it was the requisite 8 ounces. After I did the math he said, "Well, your math is correct." All in all he was obnoxious and rude and I will never see him again.

I really got the impression that he was rushed and when I - had inquired he call my partner re: our appt discussions he got a bit smart with me.
March 17, 2015
It was good with Dr. Mulligan, but my family doctor has so many patients that he has to rush and it takes me 6 mo. for appt.
