There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 40 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Doctor was dismissive of all of my symptoms. He basically told me I was making everything up and said "you have to get over this" and gave me a placebo dose of meds for my symptoms. He refused to do any testing as well because he said any tests would yield no results (because he knew what the results would be because I was making it all up). I am beyond infuriated with this result.

He spent more time talking to my daughter after he found out she was going to be an RN.

I had a very complicated situation to explain to *Dr. Roy about my current medications that were prescribed in CA and were not working well. He listened.
Aug 5
I travel 2 hrs. to see *Dr. Roy because he is that great.

Could not understand, felt like I wasted my time. Could not believe he did not listen to me!! Very upset!! Worried.
Jul 13
this doctor kept repeating himself over and over again and repeatedly kept rubbing his eye and this was very disturbing

First appt., first time I met dr. my confidence will get better as time passes & additional appt's and type of care. English not his first language little difficult to understand.
May 26
His confidence is low.
May 22
Only concern is Dr. Ray is difficult to understand due to his accent- frequently had to have him repeat so I could " what he said.

the verty next day i received a letter that dr.roy was leaving the area . and he said nothing to me at the time of my office visit .I was very sad to hear that about him and I need a dr. at the shamokin geisinger hospital . because I can not get to gmc. danville .

Dr Roy looked over my records, said he didn't have any idea what was wrong with me & told me "You have to learn to live with it". Make an appt. in 6 months. I couldn't make an appt. because the schedule isn't made out yet & they'll contact me. I received a letter in the mail the next day stating that Dr Roy would no longer be a provider at Shamokin Hospital. Why bother making an appt? Why didn't he say something at the appt. My experience with Dr Roy and my previous neurologist Dr Perez was lacking severely. I feel if you have a condition they're familiar with then they'll treat you, if not, they don't know what is wrong with you they could try to find out or refer you to someone who could try to help you, not tell you to learn to live with it. I feel that is very uncaring with no compassion for what the patient is dealing with. No, I definitely will not recommend Geisinger neurology to anyone.
May 8
I was disappointed the Dr did not tell me he was leaving & I got that information the next day in a letter.
Apr 9
dr would not listen to patient concerns; had basically made up his mind on his diagnosis and would not discuss
March 26
Dr. Roy showed caring & concern for my health issues. He listened patiently as I described symptoms, conducted a thorough exam & answered all my questions satisfactorily.
Feb 13
At times, difficult to understand, but very willing to repeat himself.
Jan 30
Dr Roy gave me hope that I can get better. The previous neurologist didn't give me any of the options for treatment that Dr Roy did. Dr Roy is helping me. I recommend him highly.
Jan 15
Dr. mentioned prescription but I didn't think he was prescribing for me until my pharmacy called with the Rx. I don't even know what it was for - (did not take/get it.
