The Dr. gave me a tongue lashing because I didn't get blood tests when I was supposed to, but the first time I seen her her requests weren't clear. but I did get blood tests the day I seen her. I had the results the next day but it took almost 2 weeks to get back to me. It was a case of adjusting my meds . I wrote her an email 4 days after I got the results asking what I should do, but no results for another week, not even a reply

I had blood work completed in the lab for Dr. Kaviani, but have not yet received a message from her office about the results, so I can not speak to follow-up care.

My only problem this year was when Dr. Kaniani had to be off for personal reasons, Geisinger did not have another doctor covering her patients. I had to wait until she returned, whenever that was going to be.

This was a follow-up appointment that Dr. Kaviani asked me to keep. She spent maybe 5 minutes with me, if that. The appointment was only to tell me that my recent blood work came back normal and good. This could have been communicated to me over the phone or an email instead of having me keep an appointment and pay a $20 copay. This is not the first time she has done this. The chances of me keeping any future "follow-up" appointments with her will be extremely slim.

Dr. Kaviani was short tempered and condescending. Her assistant, Michael Lembeck Edens, is very good!

I believe part of problem is there are very few endocrinologists in this town, so Dr. is either over worked &/or not too concerned with losing her job.

The dr is rude, uncaring and completely uninterested in her patients. I left the appt upset and confused. During the appt she listened to my heart, very tightly grabbed my throat and that's it. I will never see her again and should have simply walked out during the appt.

I like Dr. Kaviani, however I feel she may have too many patients and that is evident in the delays for appointments, wait times, and knowledge of patient issues even when the are long standing (almost 3 years) patients of hers. Due to that I lack confidence in this provider. I feel Dr. Kaviani is very knowledgeable, but is over worked.

After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time in the waiting room, I then had to wait another 20-25 minutes in the exam room before Dr. Kaviani came in. She then spent no more than 5-10 minutes with me. This visit could have been done via a phone call or message on MyGeisinger. All she did was tell me the results of my most recent bloodwork, which I could already see online. I had even asked her the month before my appointment if I still needed to come in and she told me to keep my appointment. She also never mentioned anything to me about follow up appointments, however when I was checking out I was told she wanted a follow up in 6 months. I will not be keeping that appointment as I'm sure it will be just as useless as this one was.

I'd have _____ to have more time to discuss my preferences about my T3 & T4 _____ and why. Also considerations for research _____ about acceptable ranges of thyroid hormone _____, or symptoms other than strictly numbers based. There was not enough time. The same about _____ Synthroid & _____. I'm not sure how this new med. plan handles Synthroid (is it covered?). Sorry re sloppy penmanship. I said I had several issues I was unable to address. 1. Ranges of Cytomel & Synthroid base on symptoms other than lab norms. 2. Synthroid vs. Levothyroxine. I'm unsure how this new med co handles Synthroid may need to start again if they don't cover the brand. 3. Would have _____ to ask relationship to _____ hormones & labs: 2 estrogen (recently stopped. _____ lipid levels _____ bone density.Not enough time to discuss pts. complex issues regarding inter-_____ conditions..., dry mouth, _____ cardia, BMR, Raynauds, bone density.

She has helped me address type II diabetes & hypercholesterolemia with great success. All labs normal now.

I really appreciated how carefully Dr. Kaviani listened to me. She made me feel as if what I had to say about my medical history was important information that she respected. When she gave me her recommendations -- a medication change -- she explained why in a way that made me feel she "got" me. I'm sensitive to drugs and she took that into account in making her recommendation. I am so glad she is my new physician -- I just relocated here.
