There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 40 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Very happy with this provider

After briefly meeting Dr. Ambrose in the emergency room, I wasn't sure if I wanted to see him again, I was pleasantly surprised when we met at this appoint. After explaining my personal situation, he was very understanding & sympathetic. He did prescribe a medication that could relieve some of my angina. He encouraged me to let him know how the meds were working out. Look forward to seeing him again!

I did most of the talking. I was very nervous. I have bad anxiety and he listened well but was not friendly or kind. Maybe I was looking for reassurance or more help but I felt uncomfortable. I do not think he understood how I was struggling or how I was coming across I almost felt like he didn't like me.

I am still having issues after having my pacemaker implanted - I have been to ER x2 in 2 wks - cp - _____ - SOB. I am on a new med - depending on outcome, if nothing can be done, I will have no choice but to go ELSEWHERE.

Dr.Ambrose was very professional, yet very friendly and appeared to be concerned with my problem/complaints. He listened well and asked appropriate questions to try to determine the symptoms and cause of my problems.

I don't get results back from any test done until I see a doctor again and that is when I come back for a visit again that maybe a month or 2.

The care provider didn't seem to understand what would be the "alternative" complications of what might or could have happened in my condition. It struck me odd that the kept using the words, " I don't know"! instead of looking for a solution. He just sat there and didn't even look at my paper work. He wasn't at all that interested in what could be or even look into, what I asked might have been a problem to what had brought me to the hospital. He wasn't my first choice. I wanted the Dr. that took care of me in the Catherization room! He explained better what I had{illegible or inappropriate content}I changed my appt. with this provider, to the one who explained things to me at my stay in the hospital. This was was all blank face. I don't know, was his demeanor. I would NOT recommend him or his assistant. They dismiss things. Its all in your head, he said???? I am a very intelligent woman. My husband is has a Ph.D and so far, we were NOT impressed with this, "Provider".
