  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 40 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Dr Prince is the ultimate professional but took his time exploring my upcoming surgery to insure I understood the process and options. He should be the model of health care that others seek to emulate.
Sep 9
Dr. Ed Prince has been our family doctor for many, many years. They don't come any better than Dr. Prince!

Jul 27
I have been a patient of Dr. Prince since 2008, and he has always been wonderful. He shows a genuine concern for my issue, and takes the time to explain options for treatment.
Jul 26
Dr. Prince is a very capable and compassionate care provider, whom I trust a lot.

For someone who is on a low-income, I get nervous when doctors start taking test & labs (it is the cost that I am concerned about). I don't want to have a test done without knowing an estimate of the price. If there is no mention of it, I feel very taken advantage of. Doctors in general need to be upfront with their patients when it comes to that. I am a person to ask a lot of questions. Though I feel that doctors need to explain things in simpler terms (assuming their patient is not up to all the medical terms of the day). In my experience when the doctor or nurse goes into depth on whatever the issues is, it def reassures me as their patient. If a doctor doesn't explain it thoroughly then I feel I am being kept out of the dark.
Jul 22
Dr. Prince is an excellent primary care giver and I trust all that he does with my health care and any issues.

June 8
I have been with Dr. Prince for 20 years. He is always considerate, understanding, and willing to answer questions and spend time explaining all my medical issue. We have similar outside interests as well, which makes communications very friendly and interesting.
June 4
Doctor Prince is an excellent family practitioner.
May 27
Dr Prince was just squeezing us in, so I was surprised at the amount of time he took with us.
May 11
For the most part, the care provider listened and recommended a course of action, but sometimes I feel I have trouble getting him to understand that my pain is chronic and it might be a good idea to get ex rays or an MRI. I tell him about my pain every time I go in, but he can feel nothing and my pain never goes away. I have had pain for two years now. Sometimes it can be debilitating.
May 6
Excellent, relaxed, reassuring.
May 4
Visit w/ Dr. Prince was above my expectations, and I had a lot! I especially appreciated him noting to me that treatment would treat symptoms but not necessarily impact course of disease. Most importantly I felt like he was on my side. And he got me an appt next day w/ specialist's office{illegible or inappropriate content}even that office was impressed. Please don't let PSU take Geisinger off our insurance provider list.

I was ignored when explaining that I didn't like inhalers and as in the past probably would not use it. It was still prescribed and my husband ended up paying for something I don't use.

Dr. Prince, has been my physician since 1984. He has seen me through just about everything and yes, I have and I will continue to recommend him as a physician. I think he does a great job!

I guess I have been going to Dr. Prince for over 25 years (yes, before his practice was part of Geissinger!). That should tell you something!
Feb 28
I saw Dr. Prince once before when my husband had an urgent appointment. His courtesy, caring, and thoughtfulness were outstanding in both situations.
Feb 10
The excellent care & professionalism from Dr. Prince & other staff is the reason I've continued my care with him after I moved to the Philadelphia area.
Feb 10
It is my opinion that Dr. Edward Prince is an exceptional Family Physician. He is very thorough during exams, explains procedures and concerns, asks questions, and most importantly, listens to the patient's concerns. Due to his concern for following appropriate protocols with only the very slightest indication and no overt symptoms, he was instrumental in detection of my kidney cancer two years ago. This was probably a life saving event. Dr. Prince and associated nursing staff are always extremely courteous and thorough during checkups. I have recommended Dr. Prince and Geisinger Medical to my colleagues and friends. Although I was a Penn State University employee, I elected to remain with Geisinger primarily due to Dr. Prince and my interactions with him as my primary care physician.

It turns out that the Dr informed me I sprained my thumb but in all actuallity the joint was out of place. And all the rest and ice and heat in the world was not going to fix it.
Jan 28
He was fabulous
Jan 27
felt at ease for entire visit

#9 & #10 - When I went to check out, I needed a refill on a Class 2(?) medication, which necessitates a physical script be written. The first script he gave me from the printer wasn't mine - I realized it when I was walking out to "checkout". Walked back to the nurses station, showed the nurse who found my script in the printer and walked it back to the Doctor. After verifying my name was on the script, I left. As I was walking to the onsite pharmacy, I realize he did not fill out he script correctly, omitting his DEA number that is required for this class of drug. After confirming with the pharmacist, I then had to wait another 15 minutes before I received a correctly filled out script. Overall, I think the Dr. was pleasant, but not checking the name on the script before handing it to someone + lack of filling out correctly{illegible or inappropriate content}{illegible or inappropriate content}

I emailed Dr office on 12-16 asking for help with the values on the test results I received and questioned a drug side effects of a new Rx he wishes to have me use and as if 12-22 there has been no reply. I understand he is quite busy buy why did not a MA or nurse reply?

My first time with Dr. Prince because Dr. Wheeler was out of town. I felt he was a good doctor and treated me well. I do not know him well.
