There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Dr. Alaparthi is fantastic. Everytime I have seen him, I have been roomed, seen and checked out before my appointment time. As a nurse myself, this is simply amazing.

He was quick to deciding WITHOUT SEEING THE CT SCAN it has to be surgery no other options. I made him order a ultrasound, due to the CT scan was done over a year ago. He didn't know how many or how big or where the stones where. I had no pain, nausea, throwing up, just diarrhea.

very good experience

This was a follow up visit for pain and a bulge in my belly. He seemed annoyed that I was questioning his work, when I was only questioning why I have a painful bulge. He exited in less than five minutes saying "I have other patients waiting". He had a CT scan done lying down. The bulge only shows when I stand or cough. The read of the CT scan was indeterminant, but he says I am fine. I am seeking a second opinion. I am frustrated and still have a painful bulge in my belly.

I wish he would of been more approachable, very quiet, had to ask questions quick before he left abruptly. Very good operating doctor however, happy with that part.

I look at my responses here and am somewhat surprised. I usually do not think anyone is performing optimally. However, Dr. Alaparthi made me feel much less like a medical record number and more like someone that would like a problem addressed.

I have little knowledge if any in this area. I'll talk with *Dr. Josph - at a later date.

Dr. Alaparthi has done a wonderful job with my care.

I was not given enough information about what to expect post-op and the length of time it would take to recover.
