There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

This was a follow-up from seeing someone in the ER 2 days prior because I had a wound on my arm that had been lanced open. Abbie did not look at it more than briefly. She did not closely look at it.

Said that she would call in a cough medicine and I had to call several time to get one.

My visit was about 2 min long like she pushed me right out the door -

Should use clippers not scissors digging in to the cut , she dug it back open, to take out stitches. And I mentioned I thought the er was wrong about it being broke and I got nothing not even a look of acknowledgment.

PA seemed to not care about the pain I was in, and made light of my complaints. I felt like she thought I wasn't really in pain. My ear ache was horrible. She just talked over me and didn't really seem to care about listening to me...just went through the motions like it was a script.

Abby is always first rate and she knew exactly what my problem was - and how to correct it. She also did not hesitate to prescribe an antibiotic when she saw the depth of the infection. Having used a walk-in clinic where they would not prescribe an antibiotic of any sort, even though the wound was obviously severely infected and the area swollen, angry, red and hot to the touch, was a concern going in. However, I know that she provided the correct and proper treatment, as the infection has cleared up.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! I am a brain tumor patient. I was told to call a physician if I felt anything was off. For about two weeks I dealt with swelling ankles and what seemed like a held cold with swollen glands. I told the PA I drink 48% of water a day and reduced my salt intake already. She acted like I WASTED her time by making an appointment. She told me not to worry about my swelling. To only come back if it gets worse. And she didn't even feel my glands, told me I was getting over a cold. I got in my vehicle afterwards and cried. She made me feel like I was a BOTHER and that I was OVERREACTING! I assumed she didn't even think my ankles were puffy but then on my chart she put they were swelled. I do not visit the medical anymore than any non-tumor patient so it's not like I'm always jumping to conclusions. Abby made me feel awful. She is RUDE and very STUCK -UP. I will never go back to her. I have heard other patients have had the same problem with her. She is going to give Gesigner a bad name. Icing on the cake -- November 2015 I went to her complaining about vision loss and terrible headaches. I had to beg her to refer me to a neurologist. Dignosed then with a Brain tumor. I gave her a second chance because I knew no one would have predicted a brain tumor. I now learned Abby doesn't care about her patients and she has no bedside manner. I left her office visibly upset and she said "bye" and walked back to her desk. AWFUL! WASTE OF MY MONEY FOR A 5 minute appointment.

I had e-rays done and I was notified of the outcome by e-mail. I responded with 2 e-mails back to back and did not receive a reply to the second one which needed a reply.

was literally in room with provider less than 5 minutes. barely looked at problem area. just prescribed med and hurried out. decided to seek treatment at another facility which was upsetting since i went to an outside urgent care initially and wanted my follow up to be with my personal doctor
Apr 27, 2016
I wanted a sleep study done but instead I was given anxiety meds I don't feel I need.

Abbie is always great to deal with. She pays attention, doesn't make you feel inadequate.

My prescription wasn't covered by my insurance so the pharmacy contacted the doctor for something else. I stopped in 9 days later and they never had a reply from anyone. I still don't have a prescription and I can't call from work and wait on hold all day.

She said I would have 2 prescriptions, but there was only one when I got to the pharmacy. No worrries - I recovered without the cough medicine.
