There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.
  3. He or she is a community provider, not a Geisinger-employed provider. Community providers tend to see patients in their own private outpatient practices, which we do not survey.

Overall my experience with the doctor and physician assistant was great. They were thorough, carefully explained instructions for follow-up care and as to what the diagnosis for my problem was. I did feel that I spent a very brief period of time with Dr. Ross, perhaps more time was unnecessary as i spent a great deal of time with his PA.

He refused to do or even try and get an MRI even after problems progressed. He kept saying X-rays didn't show much; but there was pain & discoloration & swelling, so he should have ordered MRI.
Feb 26
Dr. Ross was very helpful & also recommended a series of knee injections that I am considering for next VISIT. Also suggested @ knee brace which I accepted.

Had I known that my problem was relatively minor, I would never have wasted a visit (his time or mine) on it. He does not believe in medication for arthritis which is clearly a path that a friend of mine has taken through his physician for his knee (diagnosed as osteoarthritis of a mild nature). My problem involves both knees and, although he assessed the arthritis as basically insignificant, the pain is still difficult to withstand. Furthermore, my knees tend to lock up on me when I'm sitting for any prolonged period of time. That which tells me, from one doctor to another, each will be of his/her own opinion when it involves treatment options. It basically comes down to my choice in treating it. I will embark upon a course of walking in the spring/summer and forego any idea of submitting to 4 weeks of costly physical therapy that will never result in alleviating the pain for good, and certainly will not restore my knees to their former condition.

Nov 19, 2015
Extremely disappointed in the care - or should I say LACK of CARE I have received from Dr Ross. After months of appointments, which the progression was PT, 2 types of injections, then probable surgery all discussed AFTER an MRI, I am still in pain, cannot kneel, received only 1 injection & was told there is nothing he can do. He showed zero compassion & seemed insulted when questioned by myself or my wife. I would NEVER recommend anyone to Dr Ross.
