There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. He or she does not see patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
  2. He or she sees patients, but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is accurate and statistically reliable.

Dr. Oncu was extremely personable and expressed genuine concern about me. I entered with many questions and left feeling confident that Dr. Oncu was competent. I am still confused about the role that long-term NSAIDs have played in my kidney disease and uncertain that I should continue these. I am equally concerned that my quality of life will be seriously altered without the pain relief that NSAIDs have provided. Learning that I have Stage 3 Kidney disease without having any warning is taking awhile to sink in.

I would never recommend this doctor to any one. My experience was not good. I will not be coming back to the clinic for my care. I do not like seeing a Fellow and then a doctor. I want to see the same doctor each visit in order to build a doctor/patient relationship. I feel I am not getting the proper care. This particular Fellow/Doctor was not a good experience at all. If someone would like to call me I'll explain.

I like that my report about mammograms was in my geisinger that day

Dr Oncu is outstanding!! My health problem turned out to be an easy fix once it was understood what was going on. Dr. Oncu got right to the crux of the problem and it was easy managed after that. His ability to quickly identify the reason for my hyponatremia and quickly reverse it made it possible for me to have the hip replacement surgery I desperately needed sooner than later and have it done safely.

This was my first visit with Dr. Oncu. I was so impressed with him that I am in the process of transferring my records from Mt. Nittany (Dr. Dranov, Nephrology) to Dr. Oncu.

Dr Oncu is a very knowledgeable physician and very caring person. He takes the time to listen and talk about any concerns I might have.

Dr. Oncu is great! His concern for finding a solution to be my health problem was unparalleled. He went above and beyond by actually going to another Dept. for an opinion. His office mailed me literature on my condition from a website that I didn't have access to. He thought outside of the box to come up with some treatment options.
